We have been working diligently in the background and wish to share with you our CEO forum details for our Atlantic Brokers Convention this fall, in Saint John, NB. Moderating the AIBC CEO Panel this year on October 10, is Keynote speaker Justin Kingsley. Justin will leverage current data on next-gen brokers, insurers, and customers to ask CEOs about the future of their businesses and facilitate a debate-style Q&A. Panelists > Travelers Canada; Gavin Mascarenhas, VP of Claim
Gavin began his career in 1996, holding various roles in Facilities, U/W and as an Insurance Sales Agent before joining Travelers in 2001. At Travelers, Gavin was a seasoned claim adjuster before, leading teams in Auto, Property, and Shared Services up until he was appointed the Vice President for Travelers Canada Claim.
Beyond his role at Travelers, Gavin is deeply involved in industry initiatives. He is the current chair of the Humber Insurance Management Program and Equite Crime Advisory Committee. He also sits on important committees such as the IBC Claim Committee and various Insurance Institute groups. Recently, he was appointed as an industry representative on the GIO Board, further showcasing his industry influence.
Gavin's educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Crime and Deviance from the University of Toronto, complemented by his Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation. As a CIP instructor for the Insurance Institute of Canada, Gavin shared his expertise with others and has received recognition with two regional Instructor of the Year awards.
Gavin’s career is a testament to his commitment to the insurance industry's growth and development. His blend of leadership, industry involvement, and educational mentorship continues to make a significant impact on the sector.
