In June 2021, Mr. Gagnon was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Intact Financial Corporation’s Canadian operations. In this role, Mr. Gagnon is responsible for all Canadian-based business entities (Intact Insurance, belairdirect, Anthony Insurance, BrokerLink, Johnson Insurance), in addition to overseeing Personal Lines, Commercial Lines, Marketing and Communication functions. Mr. Gagnon was President of Intact's Canadian operations from January 2018 until his CEO appointment.
From 2013 to 2017, Mr. Gagnon was President, Service & Distribution, where he oversaw the development and expansion of belairdirect, BrokerLink, international initiatives and ventures as well as Intact’s Claims operations. Prior to that, Mr. Gagnon served as President and Chief Operating Officer from 2011 to 2013 and President of Intact Insurance from 2008 to 2011. He joined Intact Insurance as Senior Vice-President Quebec division in January 2007. Mr. Gagnon started his career in the banking industry before becoming an insurance broker in 1992. Prior to joining Intact (ING), he headed a successful brokerage with offices in Quebec and Ontario and was active within the provincial and national brokers associations. Mr. Gagnon is past President of the Regroupement des Cabinets de Courtage du Quebec (RCCAQ) and Director of the Insurance Brokers Association of Canada (IBAC).
Mr. Gagnon earned a BA in Economic Science from the Université de Montréal and an MBA from the University of Ottawa.
Graham Haigh launched his insurance career in British Columbia in 1994 after graduating from Simon Fraser University. He has completed both the FCIP and CAIB designations and is a past President of the Insurance Institute of BC.
Graham knows the BC market very well. While now calling Winnipeg home, he spent most of his career in Vancouver. In 2009 he joined Wawanesa as its Regional Vice President for BC & Yukon. He has taken on progressively senior positions with the organization since, including his most recent appointment as SVP & Chief Marketing Officer, a position in which his passion for leadership and business strategy drives his goal of enabling a world-class sales and marketing culture.
Mark LeBlanc serves as Chief Distribution Officer at Aviva Canada, after joining the company in September 2019 as Managing Director, Broker Distribution. Mark has over 30 years of experience in the Canadian insurance industry. Prior to joining Aviva, he has held various senior leadership roles at a large Canadian insurer. During his career, he has developed a strong understanding of the broker community, having a tremendous track record of supporting the successful growth of brokers across Canada.
Mark holds his Fellowship Chartered Insurance Professional (FCIP) and Canadian Risk Management (CRM) designations, along with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of New Brunswick.
In his current role, he leads Distribution for Aviva Canada with responsibilities for Business Development, Marketing, and Communications.
Glen Bates has been Vice President of Eastern Canada for Economical Insurance since December 2017. His 25-year career provided him with experience in Personal & Commercial Insurance and Finance across the country. Glen holds degrees from Université Sainte-Anne, Saint Mary’s, and is a fellow with the Insurance Institute of Canada as well as a member of the Chartered Professional Accountants Association of Nova Scotia. He is also currently a board member of the Quebec IBC. Glen has been living in Montreal with his family for the past ten years, however he is proud of his Nova Scotia upbringing.
